Domaine de la Breche (2nd result on page) - Mobile Home sleeps 5
One idea for accommodation approximately 5km Tours side of Saumur(so is not in town) is this Eurocamp special at only £60 for 1 night. Its very easy to book online. Only problem might be only has blankets so pack own sleeping bag liner or hire. Nice swimming pool and other facilities.

Comments? I am happy to book if acceptable.

The price is good but I don't have a sleeping bag/liner and don't sleep well in them - I wriggle too much and they finish up twisted round me. If we could hire sheets there (even paper ones) it would be better.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were at that campsite 2 years ago, we were able to hire sheets for the night, so I guess it will be the same? Sleeps 5, but are any of the beds doubles?! That link you gave us doesn't take me directly to that specific mobile home on that campsite - it seems to have timed out. And on the Eurocamp website I can only find some place near Blois - with a tent for 6 at £47. But, if you can clear up all these queries, yes, that sounds good!
ReplyDeleteFound it! Domaine de la Brèche. On the other side of the river to the LàV. We could leave the LàV at Varennes and go to the campsite, and eat there; or stay on the LàV to Saumur, eat in town, and double back to the campsite.
ReplyDeleteTo search eurocamp site for domaine d. enter date, 1 night and region as loire it should be 2nd result on page. The '3 bed classic plus + decking' has 1 double, 2 single and 2 beds in kitchen area as illustrated when you click on accommodation link. Linen is an extra £12 a head but that does include a fluffy towel and real sheets. Total cost per head(without sheets but including equipment damage waiver) is £15. If all agree I will book but please indicate if you want sheets.
ReplyDeleteOK, Shawn. Go for it - sheets and fluffy towel for me, please.
ReplyDeleteDo not need sheets as I have a sleeping bag liner. I assume that a pillow is provided.
ReplyDeletePillows and blankets I think. Bagsy the double bed!
