Sounds like Martin had an interesting time on the Hebrides back in the 60's.

Details of rides organised by Derbyshire Sustrans Rangers. On previous rides we visited Ireland (North and South) in 2011, the outer Hebrides in 2013, Northumberland in 2015, Holland in 2016 and France in all the other years since 2010. Last year (2018) we went to the Isle of Man and this current year (2019) we head for Scotland

ReplyDeleteSorry about the delay. Just back from France and about to go to Durham. I'll say yes to Thurs 11 Oct. A bit of news: a plane tree fell down and cut the Garonne Canal in two at Damazan (47) - where we met the Australians - the Sud-Ouest reported just over a week ago ("Le canal coupé en deux"). One hopes that everything is back to normal by now. But what does the future hold, given that every other tree is rotten to the core?

ReplyDeleteI remember the aussies well - They may decide to fell them all as a safety precaution - it would be a shame though.
