Looks like Monday will be the most challenging weather - strong wind generally in our faces and rain - but longer term forecast looks reasonable although a little cold.
My main concern is strong winds (against us) which makes the distances much, much harder. Current forecast seems to imply this should be okay (apart from Monday).

Softy! We Dragon ride veterans love the rain! The wind was against us for most of the welsh adventure. In France we were mearly frazzled. I still suggest you pack the sunscreen, lip salve..just in case!
ReplyDeleteYes, the sea crossings will be interesting. I am booked on the 15.00 "fast" P & O ferry from Cairnryan to Larne on Monday; staying overnight at Cushendall, about halfway between Larne and Giant's Causeway. Hopefully, plenty of time to admire the rocks on Tuesday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteHowever, if the weather is really bad I my end up overnight in a waiting room on the Scottish Coast. Even so I should still be in Bushmills by Tueday night?
Latest BBC report gives 33 mph(!) from the SW. Now, admittedly we will be going SW to begin with, but from Lisburn it's more like W (so not quite so strong), and after we reach the Lough, we will be heading N, so the wind will be actually helping us.
