I am glad to see the snow did not put you off going out on your bike Clyde. As you are probably aware we have had a tad more snow here and I have left my bike tucked up in the shed. A few pics I have taken around Kings Mill Reservoir and a snow covered Robin Hood line.
I have a Michelin Atlas of France which I could photocopy the relevant pages of the route for the meeting. It could useful to look at the route in detail and checkout stopover locations. If anyone else as already done this let me know.
See you all on the 4th Feb.

Great pics! Is the snow still hanging about? Someone else - Peter? - also said they were going to do this with a road atlas. My advice to you both would be: make sure all the roads I have chosen are on your maps. I used the IGN 1:100 000 maps which, I think, are a bit more detailed than the usual road atlases (1: 200 000) so you may not find all the roads on the latter. You should find the Excel spreadsheet easy to follow once you have the maps in front of you. I have used mainly less important D-roads, but also some C-roads (which for some bizarre reason are never labelled on any paper maps I know, but are on the Autoroute Express package (and probably Google and all satnavs). I'll do some research on my own Michelin atlas.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a caption to your top pic, Maldwyn: "Let the birds eat cake!"
ReplyDeleteMarie-Antoinette is alive and well and works for Ashfield District Council.
I do have a Michelin Atlas which I brought to the last meeting and will bring on 4/2. I have not plotted the route on it. (yet)
